Luke O. Bossard, Psy.D.

Dr. Luke Bossard, Psy.D., is a licensed psychologist specializing in clinical work with children and adolescents. He earned his Doctorate of Psychology from Wheaton College, a program that integrates clinical training with theological studies. He has been practicing in Lincoln for the past 12 years. Prior clinical positions included managing a unit at a child psychiatric hospital, clinical supervision at a large residential treatment facility (Idaho Youth Ranch), and directing a non-profit agency (Family Health Services). Additionally, Dr. Bossard has provided clinical supervision to therapists at Family Service Lincoln for more than a decade.

His clinical focus includes working with adolescents and college-age clients experiencing anxiety, emotional dysregulation, academic underperformance, and social struggles. He uses primarily cognitive-behavioral or behavioral treatment methods combined with Mindfulness and grounding techniques. He has also developed a curriculum called the ‘Academic Success Plan’ to help students be more organized and prepared academically. Finally, Dr. Bossard provides evaluation services in the areas of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, giftedness, Autism Spectrum Disorder (only adolescents and adults) and personality and mood disorders.  

Dr. Bossard is passionate about promoting lifestyle changes and habits in the community that can proactively prevent mental health problems called the ‘6 Pillars for Emotional Wellbeing.’
