Amanda B. Setlak, Ph.D.

Dr. Amanda Steak, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist who brings more than 15 years of experience helping children, teens, and families. With a doctorate in School Psychology from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, she began her career at Boys Town Center for Behavioral Health, supporting at-risk youth and developing programs to strengthen academic skills. She joined the Behavioral Pediatric and Family Therapy Program in 2017.

Dr. Setlak takes a thoughtful and collaborative approach to therapy, integrating behavioral, cognitive-behavioral, and acceptance-based strategies to help families navigate life’s challenges. Her clinical expertise includes managing anxiety and mood disorders, improving attention and impulse control, and strengthening parent-child relationships. She is passionate about empowering young people and their caregivers to build resilience, develop practical coping tools, and approach difficulties with confidence and clarity.
